Word from Jerusalem

Word from Jerusalem: Abundant Life! (Ep. 58)

When the angel of the Lord confronted Gideon, he found the people of Israel hiding in the threshing floor, accepting failure and barely surviving. They would work hard only to see the Midianites take their harvest. They were afraid to confront. They were afraid to thrive. Today's complacency is tomorrow's captivity. There is a difference between surviving and thriving. But, Jesus came to give us life, and life abundantly!

Word from Jerusalem: Muslim Persecution of Christians

The world has been shocked by the brutality of the Islamic State terror militia, especially as it has targeted the ancient Christian communities of Iraq and Syria. These Islamic jihadists have swept into towns and villages committing unspeakable atrocities. Without anyone coming to their rescue, these Christians feel completely abandoned.

To really understand the enormity of this ongoing tragedy, we need to go back to the birth of the Christian faith in this region 2,000 years ago.

Word from Jerusalem: The Restoration of All Things

In Acts 3, Peter preaches a message of restoration in the context of lame man having just been healed. The picture presented can be understood to be one that represents Israel at that time. Throughout Jesus' ministry, the miracles and the message complemented each other in terms of their application for our lives. Word from Jerusalem: A Paradigm Shift

Zechariah 8 tells us that there is a shift taking place in the way God is dealing with the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. He says that He is not going to deal with them as He did in the past. What was true in the past for the Jewish people is not true for today. Word from Jerusalem: The Church's Calling to Israel

The unique calling of Abraham reveals the very crux of Israel's calling as a nation. The question today is what does this mean for the Church? What did this mean for the early Church? What did it mean for the apostles? It's a very important question to answer today especially in light of the Jewish people's return to the land of Israel.

Word from Jerusalem: Israel's Prophetic Calling

Through the historical calling of the Jewish people, we have already received the Word of God and the Messiah, but it's also very important to know why God has brought them back to their land at this time. We should understand that a great prophetic calling still lies ahead of them as a nation. The Bible clearly promises a day of spiritual revival for Israel that will usher in the reign of Jesus from Jerusalem and release His resurrection power upon the earth!
